„Salam Alaikum“ – thats the first album by techhouse DJ and producer „Brascon“ from Berlin. “Brascon” himself describes it as “chaotic, different and groovy”. After one year of production and studio work its finally with us. Powered by the Love to Asien countries and the curiosity to learn things about culture and rituals, “Brascon” has started to take a musical journey. “The western media never talks about the beauty of these countires. Most of the time are conflicts or their economy the points of interest. But there is so much more to explore and a whole lot of, unknown rituals and cultures to discover. I wanted to explore this different world by the sound of music and give my surroundings the opportunity to take a different look at it." But what do we gonna hear at his LP? 8 tracks full of oriental grooves together with the cold atmosphere of Berlin. Sometimes a moody sound breaks out of melancholic line of accords. Blues elements take over a DeepHouse groove. Nearly every track is finished with clean vocals of Asian vocalists. In his album “Brascon” tries to connect different cultures that nowadays are a part of Berlin by the magic of music. He tries to get different people together and solve conflicts. Berlin is Colorful. But it is also rough. The sound of his music shows that and much more. Whoever is ready to go on this musical journey, is gonna have a lot of fun with this album.

„Salam Alaikum“ so heißt das Debütalbum des Berliner Techhouse-Dj´s und Producer’s „Brascon“. Er selbst beschreibt sein Album wie folgt „wüst, anders, groovy“. Nach einem Jahr im Studio ist es endlich soweit! angetrieben durch die Liebe zu den fernöstlichen Ländern und das Unwissen über Ihre Kultur und Bräuche, startet Brascon seine musikalische Reise. „Westliche Medien berichten niemals von deren Schönheit, sondern meist nur von Konflikten oder deren Wirtschaft. Dabei gibt es so viel mehr zu entdecken und eine Bandbreite von uns unbekannten Bräuchen, Ritualen sowie Kulturen. Ich wollte mich dem Thema musikalisch nähern und meiner Umwelt eine andere Sicht ermöglichen.“ Doch was erwartet uns auf der LP? Acht Titel voller orientalischer Grooves in einem kalten Berlin-Feeling. Manchmal bricht ein düsterer Sound in eine melancholische Akkordfolge herein oder es spielen Blues-Elemente in einen Deep-House Groove. Nahezu jeder Track enthält klare Vocals asiatischer Sänger. In seinem Album versucht „Brascon“ auf musikalische Art und Weise die Sounds der verschiedenen in Berlin miteinander lebenden Kulturen und deren Konflikte in Einklang zu bringen. Berlin ist bunt, aber rau. Der Sound des Albums spiegelt das wieder. Wer sich auf diese musikalische Reise einlässt, dem wird das Album definitiv viel Spaß bereiten!
